These are federal and state programs — not insurance products. They are free to apply for and can save hundreds or thousands of dollars per year in Medicare costs.

Extra Help (drug costs)

Apply at ssa.gov or call Social Security at 1-800-772-1213. Takes about 30 minutes online.
