What are the disadvantages of Medigap plan N?
Medigap Plan N has a few tradeoffs you should know before enrolling. First, you pay copays at the point of care: up to $20 for office visits and up to $50 for emergency room visits that don't result in admission. Plan N also doesn't cover the Part B deductible, so you pay the first $283 in 2026 out of pocket. It won't cover Part B excess charges either, which means a doctor who doesn't accept Medicare assignment can bill you extra. If you see specialists often, those copays add up fast. For most people the lower monthly premium still makes Plan N a smart choice. Want to compare Plan N against Plan G for your situation? Call me at 855-559-1700 and we'll run the numbers.
