What are the three requirements for Medicare?
You qualify for Medicare when you meet three basic requirements. First, you must be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident who has lived here for at least five continuous years. Second, you generally need to be 65 or older, though you can qualify earlier if you have certain disabilities or conditions like End-Stage Renal Disease or ALS. Third, you or your spouse must have paid Medicare taxes long enough to earn premium-free Part A, which usually means 40 quarters of work. If you meet those, you're in. Part B carries a $202.90 monthly premium in 2026, with a $283 deductible. Questions about your own eligibility? Call me at 855-559-1700 and I'll walk you through it.
