Which carriers accept same-day enrollment applications

Most major Medicare Supplement carriers accept phone or electronic applications that process the same day. Not all of them, but the ones I work with are set up for fast turnaround.

  • Several top-rated carriers offer instant or same-day application confirmation
  • Carriers with electronic enrollment platforms process faster than paper-based ones
  • Rates vary by carrier, but plan benefits are standardized by the federal government (a Plan G is a Plan G, regardless of company)

I'll tell you which carriers have the best long-term rate stability in your state. That matters more than the cheapest starting premium.

What you need to complete the form in one sitting

Have these ready before we get on the phone and the whole thing takes 15 to 20 minutes:

  • Your red, white, and blue Medicare card (for your MBI number)
  • Part A and Part B effective dates
  • Date of birth, address, and phone number
  • Bank account or card information for your first premium payment
  • Brief health history (if you're outside your Medigap Open Enrollment Period and underwriting applies)

How quickly coverage actually starts after submission

The application goes in the same day. The effective date depends on timing. If you apply before the 1st of the month, most carriers can start coverage on the 1st of the following month.

During your Medigap Open Enrollment Period, there's no medical underwriting. That means no delays for health questions or approvals. Outside that window, underwriting may add a few days, but I stay on top of it so nothing stalls.

Why people put this off (and why that's risky)

Medicare is confusing. People tell me all the time they didn't realize how many moving parts there were until they started looking into it. Part A, Part B, Part D, Medigap, Advantage. It feels like learning a new language.

But delaying costs you. The Medigap Open Enrollment Period lasts 6 months starting the month you turn 65 and enroll in Part B. Miss that window and carriers can decline you or charge more based on your health. One phone call now protects you from that.

What this form is not

This is not the CMS-40B form for enrolling in Part B, and it's not a Medicare Advantage application. A Medicare Supplement enrollment form is a separate application submitted to a private insurance carrier after you already have Parts A and B.

If you still need to sign up for Part B, I can walk you through that process too. The Part B late enrollment penalty is 10% for every 12-month period you delayed, so timing matters.

Apply now with Anthony Orner — no paperwork delays

You don't pay me anything. The carrier pays the broker fee, and your premium stays the same whether you enroll directly or through me. The difference: I handle the form, follow up with the carrier, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
