Pennsylvania Medicare Broker: Free Help With Real Filed Rates
A Pennsylvania Medicare broker compares Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage plans from multiple carriers, at no cost to you, and shows you the actual filed rates for your age and ZIP code. Premiums are the same whether you enroll through a broker or directly with a carrier — the difference is that you see every option instead of one company's.
I'm Anthony Orner, an independent Medicare broker licensed in Pennsylvania and 34 other states (NPN 20586791). My office is at 1309 Route 70 West in Cherry Hill, minutes across the river from Philadelphia, and I work with Pennsylvania clients from Philadelphia and the suburbs to Pittsburgh, Allentown, Scranton, Harrisburg, and Erie by phone and video. This site publishes the same filed-rate data I use on those calls. As of July 2026, easyKind Medicare holds a perfect record on Google: all 142 of our Google reviews are five stars.

These are filed rates for a 65-year-old non-smoking woman, verified against carrier rate filings as of 2026-07-12. The spread between the cheapest and most expensive carrier for identical benefits is why comparing before you enroll matters.
| Plan | Lowest filed rate | Highest filed rate | Carriers quoting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plan G | $138/mo | $296/mo | 28 |
| Plan N | $115/mo | $228/mo | 28 |
Sample ZIP 19103 (Philadelphia). Your exact rate depends on age, ZIP, tobacco status, and household discount eligibility. See the full PA Medigap Rate Index for the complete dataset.
Two quote questions that move real money in Pennsylvania
In the same rate pull, 5 of the 28 carriers quoting Plan G offered a household discount (11.1–20% off), and 35 of 37 carriers surcharge tobacco users (about 35% on average). Whether your broker asks about your household and tobacco status can change your quote more than the plan letter.
Named carriers, real Pennsylvania numbers
Most broker sites won't name carriers or prices. Here is what the carriers we've reviewed in depth actually charge a 65-year-old for Plan G in Pennsylvania, with each carrier's most recent PA rate filing (as of 2026-07-15):
| Carrier | Plan G at 65 | Market rank | Latest PA filing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Medico | $176/mo | #7 of 28 | +18.59% (2025-09-01) |
| Humana | $177/mo | #8 of 28 | +19.53% (2025-11-01) |
| WoodmenLife | $195/mo | #13 of 28 | +8.99% (2026-01-15) |
| Bankers Fidelity | $196/mo | #14 of 28 | +0% (2025-11-15) |
| Mutual of Omaha | $248/mo | #26 of 28 | +19% (2026-05-15) |

Independent broker vs. captive agent vs. calling the carrier
A captive agent represents one insurance company and can only show you that company's plans. Calling a carrier directly gets you the same single-company view, from a call center. An independent broker is contracted with many carriers and is required to be licensed in your state — I pull the filed rates for every carrier I represent and put them side by side.
In Pennsylvania, where the price spread between carriers for identical Plan G benefits exceeds $150 a month, the single-company view is expensive.
