Members Health Insurance Company Medicare Supplement Review: The Michigan Floor, With Two Caveats
By Anthony Orner, Independent Licensed Medicare Insurance Broker · CSG Actuarial filings pulled September 10, 2026 to September 14, 2026 · 5 states
“Members Hlth Ins Co” on a Michigan quote?
That is Members Health Insurance Company, NAIC 94587, a 2016 carrier that CSG lists under Tennessee Rural Hlth Grp, the group behind TRH Health (Tennessee Farm Bureau). It is not a membership club and not a Medicare Advantage plan; it files standard federal Medigap letters.
In Wayne County, Michigan, Members Health files the cheapest Plan G of 27 carriers at $113.48 and the cheapest Plan N of 27 at $89.47, for a 65-year-old non-smoking woman. The runner-up Plan G is $35.70 behind; the median is $67.21 above. Across its 5 states it is top-3 for Plan G in 3 and top-3 for Plan N in 4.
Two caveats belong next to that. AM Best publishes no rating for the company. And in Oklahoma it filed +100.0% on Plan G effective June 1, 2025, which took the same product from a competitive price to 23 of 26. The Michigan record is short and gentle: +4.5% in June 2025. Short is the point.

CSG Actuarial licensed filings, September 10, 2026 to September 14, 2026. Woman, 65, non-tobacco, individual, no household discount, one sample ZIP per flagship county. Rank excludes direct-to-consumer and guaranteed-issue rate classes.
Michigan: $113.48 at 65, $156.45 at 75
Members Health prices Michigan on attained age, so the $113.48 at 65 becomes $128.39 at 70 and $156.45 at 75 on birthdays alone, a 38% climb before any block filing. The rate in the table has been effective since June 1, 2025. Its Plan N at $89.47 is $24.01 under its own Plan G, one of the narrower gaps on the Michigan board, so the Plan G is the better letter here for anyone who sees a doctor more than a few times a year.
The Michigan Plan N and Plan G floors are the same company, which is rare on our boards, and the whole Michigan page of comparisons is built around it: Plan G vs Plan N in Michigan.
Oklahoma: +100.0% in One Filing
Effective June 1, 2025, Members Health filed +100.0% on its Oklahoma Plan G. That is among the largest single filings across the 28 state boards in our file, and it moved the company to 23 of 26 at $213.00, $78.88 over that board's floor. The Oklahoma Plan N was left alone and still ranks 3 of 23 at $105.25.
The record also holds decreases: -7.7% in Texas (September 2025), -17.1% in Indiana (January 2021), -2.1% in Kansas (January 2021), -2.0% in Indiana (May 2020). Indiana and Texas took two filings in 2025, one up and one back down within months. Read together, this is a carrier that re-prices blocks decisively in both directions. Michigan and Oklahoma have only one filing so far, which is why the price there is where it is.

AM Best has not published a rating for Members Health. 22 of the 27 carriers on the Michigan Plan G board carry one. A Medigap claim does not route through the carrier's judgment: Medicare adjudicates the bill, and the supplement pays its federally fixed share through crossover. What an unrated, 2016 company leaves open is the long-run premium path, and the filing table above is the only evidence there is. The sister company in Tennessee, TRH Health (Tennessee Farm Bureau), files that state's cheapest Plan N at $86.30, so the group has priced a floor before.
Methodology
- Every figure is read at build time from our licensed CSG Actuarial state files, pulled September 10, 2026 to September 14, 2026. Nothing is typed.
- The carrier is matched by NAIC 94587 in each state; the Tennessee sister is matched by name and checked against CSG's parent-group field.
- Rank counts carriers returning a filed quote for a woman aged 65, non-tobacco, individual, no household discount, at one sample ZIP per flagship county.
- Boards exclude direct-to-consumer and guaranteed-issue rate classes and rows above four times the state median.
- “Largest single filing” compares filed Plan G percentages for every carrier in every state file we hold.
