Colorado Medicare Costs in 2026: Denver Pays More Than the Rest

By Anthony Orner, Independent Licensed Medicare Insurance Broker · Colorado filed rates pulled September 14, 2026, CSG Actuarial · Denver County (ZIP 80011)

In Denver County, Part B plus the cheapest Plan G costs a 65-year-old $330.55 a month: $202.90 to Medicare and $127.65 to Bankers Fidelity (Atlantic Capital Life) (CSG Actuarial filings pulled September 14, 2026). The dearest of the 24 carriers, Guarantee Trust Life at $351.23, makes it $554.13. The same carrier files $116.04 in Larimer, Weld, Pueblo, Mesa, $11.61 less than Denver for the identical policy.

The floor is not close. LifeShield National is next at $159.70, $32.05 behind, a margin wider than all but 2 of the states in our 28-state file. That puts the Colorado decision on one company's filing habit, and its Colorado record so far is +4.9% in August 2025. Around it, 11 of the 20 filings in CSG's Colorado records this cycle are 15% or more.

Denver at $127.65, Larimer, Weld, Pueblo at $116.04

Colorado carriers file 30 rating areas, more than all but 14 of the 28 states we hold, so the Front Range and the rest of the state are priced apart. Denver, El Paso, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Adams, Douglas, Boulder share the $127.65 floor. Larimer, Weld, Pueblo, Mesa sit at $116.04. That $11.61 is one insurer, one plan letter, a different ZIP: $139 a year. 8 of the other 27 states in our file have a lower statewide floor than Colorado's $116.04.
